During the private choice no. 2 exhibition in Paris, Mr. Jacques Rayet would be pleased to present the armchair designed by Sacha Walckhoff and manufactured in our workshop, at gallery GOSSEREZ .
FUR PLAY by Sacha Walckhoff in collaboration with Pouenat & Terzakou for the Galerie Gosserez
Metal and fur – a collection born from the desire to juxtapose two incredibly sensual materials that are fundamentally opposite. Fur in “geometric forms", malleable metal, playing with hot and cold… Sacha Walckhoff used opposing textures to tame each other, bringing them together to create pieces that lie half-way between sculpture and furniture. Heat blued steel responds to the warmth of the astrakhan hues which are brushed for texture, and the brass of the spheres is polished to give each piece a brilliant golden shine. The exceptional savoir-faire of the Pouenat* metal artists and the Terzakou furrier collaborated with Walckhoff to bring shape, volume and equilibrium to the Desk, Cube and Easy Chair. Without allowing for one material to overpower another, the final result was a collection of 'fur play'!

Pouenat presents the original work of art by Charles Zana: the LUNA mirror, made in 8 models.
A great design collector, the architect Charles Zana, took his inspiration from the 1963 ‘Ténebres’ ceramics collection by the master Ettore Sotass, when designing this monumental 180 cm diameter mirror. The disc of the grey-tinted mirror has at its centre a de-silvered half-moon that is LED dimmer backlit. The mixture of textures and treatments (tinted mirror, smooth surfaces, matts, gloss, rough surfaces) are a tribute to Memphis Group aesthetics. Presented with a celestial theme, the mirror plays with reflection. It is crossed at its summit by an asymmetric, horizontal red line, this shelf in red-lacquered steel organizes the shapes. The Luna mirror by Charles Zana is a tribute to the work in light and colour of the Italian Memphis design group. It is made by the Pouenat workshops.
October 2013
Today, Pouenat presents the “SILVERWING” original works of art designed by Fabrice Ausset, made in 8 models.
Pouenat has worked with Fabrice Ausset on numerous interior design projects.
The quality of the projects carried out together has led to the idea of creating a furniture range that is unlike Pouenat’s usual work. Associating inflated metal and smoked Plexiglas. An object with precise attention to detail and perfect finishing. Silverwing is a game of contrasts, a formal invitation to the comfort of simple, stretched and enveloping volumes in a hard, cold, shiny material. It evokes organic forms and a succession of parts from a half-man, half-machine skeleton. The sparkle of the shiny polished metal makes it a precious technical work of art, a child of space and the future.
September 2013
In his last collection, Damien Langlois-Meurinne animates the objects with a new inspiration. Exploring nature, he lets his imagination run wild with a “vegetal” re-interpretation of Last Night. New patina brass and bronze finishing. Glass balls providing colour, lightness and luminosity. Last Night is also presented as lamps and off-centre chandeliers. The animal references of the designer bring the dragonfly chandelier and beetle desk to life. The minerals to an enchanting Desert Rose chandelier.
“The furniture resonances with surrounding space… I seek to establish a dialogue so that the object instills a poetic and animated dimension magnifying the architecture and bringing it to life in this exchange. The manual intervention of the craftsman is decisive. With Jacques Rayet, we share the same passion for metal and the fascinating creations that appear before our eyes”
Damien Langlois-Meurinne
